Oysters, Barbecue...Battersea

Join us in celebrating our 15th annual Oysters, Barbecue...Battersea! The Battersea Foundation is thrilled to be hosting this annual feast once again and welcomes all of our longtime friends and new faces to our beloved celebration. Come enjoy fresh oysters and mouthwatering barbecue in addition to all the classic Southern favorites such as baked beans, coleslaw, corn bread, ginger cookies, and Texas Brownies. Beer, wine, and other refreshments will be provided and we are happy to announce that Kristi Kream and the Sugar Daddies will be returning again this year to perform at the villa. Along with great food and great music, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy good company and take in the beautiful views of the historic Battersea villa. Our raffle event will take place at 3PM for those who’ve entered in their chance to win a stay in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We can’t wait to celebrate! 

Here's what you need to know!

• Tickets will be sold in advance only, and at $50.00 per person. 

• Tickets can be purchased securely through Eventbrite.

• Ticket sales end on Thursday October 30th at midnight. 

• This event will be rain or shine! 

• Bring a picnic blanket or chair in case of limited seating. 

• Parking attendants will be on site to help guests upon arrival. 

• Tickets can be purchased through either Eventbrite or at the Petersburg Area Art League by cash or check ONLY (7 E Old St, Petersburg, VA 23803). Call us at (804) 732-9882 for any other questions on purchasing tickets.

• The price of your ticket also includes two (2) drink tickets.

• Gates open at NOON, and food will be served from 1PM- 3PM

• Raffle tickets may be purchased by check, by Venmo, or on-site. The drawing will be held at 3PM and tickets are $25.00. Please see our website at www.batterseafound.org under our Calendar of Events for more information.

Battersea will be hosting a Christmas Event on Sunday, December 7th. Official time and details to come!

Join us for our first lecture in Battersea’s Winter 2026 Speaker Series.

Our first lecture will be titled, “John Banister’s Correspondence with the Founding Fathers.”

This talk will last approximately 1 hour, followed by a Q&A and conservation. Letters between Banister and Washington, Jefferson, Sam Adams and Patrick Henry will be the focus of this talk.
