  • This is entirely up to you! We recommend about 1 hour to 1.5 hours for an open house visit. This would provide enough time to explore the architecture, art, furniture, and other collections within the villa.

However, our team at Battersea would love to answer any questions and provide our visitors with in-depth information on any topics they may be interested in learning about at Battersea.

Whether it’s 30 minutes or 3 hours, we want to make sure your visit is worthwhile.

  • Admission to Battersea is completely free. However, donations are always greatly appreciated.

Note: This does not apply to paid, ticketed events.

  • When pulling into the Battersea property, follow the gravel driveway on the left-hand side. Once you’ve passed the small brick building with the “LOVE” sign, you may pull into the grass on the left side of the villa and park here.

Guests with limited mobility should feel free to follow the gravel circle and park closer to the front entrance of the house.

  • Of course! We encourage all our visitors to capture their visit to Battersea on camera. We ask that you kindly turn your flash off if photographing any artwork inside the villa.

We’d love to see your photos! Tag us in any of your posts @batterseavilla on Instagram or Battersea Foundation on Facebook.

  • Friends and family, your camera, picnic lunches, and lots of questions!

  • Currently, Battersea is not wheelchair accessible. At this point in our restoration process, we do not have step-free access or handrail capacity.

However, we are looking to improve this and install a ramp in our next round of restorations. We hope to make Battersea accessible to all very soon.

  • Battersea is air conditioned on the first and second floors, and has a unisex restroom located on the first floor for visitors.

We kindly advise that guests with limited mobility reach out to us ahead of their visit to ensure their time at Battersea is as enjoyable as possible.
