Greetings from the Battersea Foundation! We are delighted to invite you to support our 16th annual signature fundraiser, “Oysters, Barbecue…Battersea!” This year’s event will take place on Saturday, November 7th, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at John Banister’s Battersea and promises to be an afternoon of great food, music, community, and fun to support the preservation of this remarkable piece of Virginia history.

Guests will enjoy:

  • Live music by Kristi Kream & the Sugar Daddies

  • Delicious Oysters, BBQ, Sides, and Desserts prepared by Cater 2 Events

  • Select Beer, Wine, and non- alcoholic beverages

  • Open House and tours of the villa, highlighting Battersea’s ongoing restoration progress 

As we enter our sixteenth year of hosting this beloved event, we are especially grateful for the generous supporters, businesses, and friends who make it possible. Your sponsorship directly supports our continued restoration efforts and helps us fulfill the Foundation’s mission to preserve Battersea and provide educational and cultural experiences that inform, enrich, and inspire the public.

  • $600 | Blue Point Oyster: 4 Event Tickets, Signage, Reserved Seating 

  • $1,200 | Wellfeet Oyster: 8 Event Tickets, Signage, Reserved Seating 

  • $3,000 | Hama Hama Oyster: 12 Event Tickets, Tent and Signage, Table and Chairs

  • $5,000 | Palladian Sponsor: 20 Event Tickets, 2 Tents and Signage, Tables and Chairs 

Early sponsors receive additional recognition through our social media, event banner, and an on-site shoutout during the event. A sponsorship is a great opportunity to entertain customers,clients, employees, family, and friends while supporting Battersea. 

Please note that tickets will not be sold at the gate for this event. Additional tickets may be purchased in advance at $50 each (cash or check only) at the Petersburg Visitor Center at SouthSide Depot (37 River St.) or purchased securely online on our website via Eventbrite. Please visit www.batterseafound.org for tickets and additional event information. Each admission ticket includes 2 beverage* tickets. *Proof of age 21 may be required.
