Join us in celebrating the 16th annual Oysters, Barbecue...Battersea! We can’t wait to open up Battersea’s doors once again for our biggest event of the year!

This beloved fundraiser brings together friends, supporters, and new faces for an afternoon of great food, live music, and good company at the historic Battersea villa. Guests will enjoy fresh oysters, barbecue, and classic Southern favorites prepared by Cater2Events, along with beer, wine, and other refreshments.

We’re also excited to welcome back Kristi Kream and the Sugar Daddies for live music on the lawn. Come enjoy the beautiful villa and grounds and views while supporting the Battersea Foundation and helping make our work possible.

We are so grateful to everyone who continues to support this special event, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Here's what you need to know!

  • Tickets will be sold in advance only, and at $50.00 per person.

  • Tickets can be purchased securely through Eventbrite.

  • Ticket sales end on Thursday November 5th at midnight.

  • This event is rain or shine.

  • Guests are welcome to bring a picnic blanket or chair in case of limited seating.

  • Parking attendants will be on site to help guests upon arrival.

  • Tickets can be purchased online through either Eventbrite or in-person at the Petersburg Visitor Center at Southside Depot by cash or check ONLY (37 River Road, Petersburg, VA 23803). Call us at (804) 732-9882 for any other questions on purchasing tickets.

  • The price of your ticket also includes two (2) drink tickets.

  • Gates open at NOON, and food will be served from 1PM- 3PM.

  • The event is from 1-4 PM. Gates will open at NOON, Food will be served from 1PM to 3PM.

  • Our oysters are all-you-can-eat! This year however, our delicious sides such as barbecue or macaroni and cheese will be served by our catering team. 

  • Don't worry! In addition to oysters, we will have barbecue and loads of Southern classic favorites such as baked beans, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, rolls, ginger cookies, and Texas brownies. 

  • Not at all! While we will be serving adult beverages, there is no age limit for this event. This is fun for the whole family!

  • When arriving at 1289 Upper Appomattox Street, we will have parking attendants ready to help all our guests upon arrival.

  • No. Tickets for this event are being sold in advance ONLY. Ticket sales will end on Thursday, November 5th at 11:59PM.
